Biography

Tom’s driven by his desire to help individuals move on with their lives after experiencing unjust treatment in the workplace, whether that be putting a stop to the behaviour or bringing long-running and complex claims to a successful conclusion.

Committed to defending workers’ rights, especially in contractual disputes, performance management issues and harassment in the workplace, Tom’s supported clients through successful claims at the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal. These matters have taken him to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

Tom’s helped to secure successful pre-litigation outcomes for government employees and NHS workers, as well as senior executives in private companies. His talent for engaging in negotiation and mediation has helped to secure high-value confidential settlements for employees who have suffered discrimination, victimisation and harassment at work.

Tom’s active interest in employment policy issues led him to contribute to a response to a government consultation on harassment in the workplace. His articles analysing the government’s proposals for post-Brexit discrimination law have been published by the Discrimination Law Association.
